| Bunny Clock Q. My child has worked out how to wake Bunny Clock before it's time to get up. How can I stop this?
Bunny Clock A. It is important to encourage the idea that Bunny is a friend rather than an object of discipline and that Bunny hates being woken up. We have found that it may take a few days for the friendship to build but, when it does, your child will enjoy being praised for knowing the right time to get up.
Bunny Clock Q. At what age will Bunny Clock start being effective?
Bunny Clock A. About 2 ½ years onwards.
Bunny Clock Q. When will my child be too old for Bunny Clock?
Bunny Clock A. Generally about 6 years old although quite a few Bunny Clocks are owned by adults!
Bunny Clock Q. My child's bedroom is dark in the morning and so how will Bunny Clock be seen?
Bunny Clock A. There is usually enough light to see bearing in mind the eye's ability to adjust to very low light levels. However, if the room is pitch black it may be necessary to add a low level night light such as a small LED.
Bunny Clock Q. When should I use the audible alarm?
Bunny Clock A. It is not a good idea to use an audible alarm with a young child because it can cause unnecessary stress. Also, a young child will have difficulty understanding how to stop the alarm especially first thing in the morning. Generally, the audible alarm can be used from about 5 years old onwards and only if your child needs to be woken up.
Bunny Clock Q. I tried to set Bunny Clock to sleep at 7.00pm to wake at 7.00am but the Bunny won't stay asleep. Why is this?
Bunny Clock A. The waking time selection is set with the normal alarm set hand. However, the alarm mechanism, as with all alarm clocks, works on a 12 hour cycle and so you are effectively trying to set Bunny Clock to sleep when it wants to wake. If you want Bunny to sleep for 12 or more hours you will need to adjust the wake setting at a later time – possibly just before you go to bed.
Bunny Clock Q. Bunny Clock won't wake in the morning but the clock is still working. Is the waking mechanism faulty?
Bunny Clock A. The clock operates on 3 batteries. 2 of these on the left hand side when looking at the battery compartment operate the waking mechanism and the single battery on the right hand side operates the clock. It is probable that the 2 batteries operating the waking mechanism need to be replaced. |
